Food was very good. The tortillas are homemade! Prices are moderate, but you get what you pay for. Ambiance could be better but the people still pack this place. Coffee is served with a smile and often.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Lupita's... especially after having crappy touristy Mexican food on the Riverwalk a few days earlier. Lupita's isn't much to look at, but the service and the food esta muy bueno!
This place is one of the best 'hole in the wall' places ive been to in a long time. Cheap too Gracias Lupitas for making my day!!
Price is excellent. Service and atmosphere was great very helpful and relaxed. Football game was on, and temperature was fresh. Menudo fell short, everything had to be added. Tacos were on point ! So was the Gordita plate, my dad left nothing that included the rice and beans.
This is our to go to place for breakfast. The tortillas are homemade and the menudo is not to be missed. I love ordering the pork chop Ranchero, it's awesome! The usuals you expect from a taco joint are here, carne guisada and bean/cheese tacos. The sweet tea and lemonade are thirst quenching and you won't be disappointed!
I'm a simple man. I grew up in SA fed on bean and cheese tacos. I feel like no one is talking about their bean and cheese tacos. Idk what it is, they just hit the right spot. Their beans, their cheese, their tortillas, just perfect and simple and takes me back to my childhood like Ego in Ratatouille. The rest of their food is alright, a little under salted at times. Give them a shot though.
First thing is first they don't have fountain sodas but their sweet tea is great. They also don't have central air and heating but I'm never sweating bullets each time I eat here because they have window units on full cold blast. Parking is tight to say the least when it is busy but there is street parking in the shade in the back lot. However their food more than makes up for their shortcomings. Homemade fresh tortillas made to order for less than $1.80 each and daily specials written on the 2 dry erase boards near the TV's. Huevos rancheros and breakfast places starting at $3.99. Steak and eggs is super cheap as well at $6.95! Cash and card is accepted here too. We come here with a minimum party of 6 - 8 people and they have always accommodated us in the space for us each time. Great and friendly service as well. No reason to go anywhere else from the price and the quality of food.
I came here on Sunday after a quick hike near by and per Jenn G's suggestion, I ordered the Chicarron Tacos, they were hot, spicy and very tasty, and I don't even like Chicarron. It is a great local Mexican place, unfortunately, it is bit far for me, but if I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I will visit again for sure
